Big Delicate 925 Sterling Silver Tibetan Natural Turquoise Inlay Golden Mantra Om Mani Prayer Wheel Amulet Pendant
All hand made by the local artists of Katmandu Nepal. It features:
- 925 sterling silver as the metal material with all the carving details: the spinningable wheel with holy Mantra of Compassion "Om Mani Padme Hum" in gold/brass tone at the middle of the outside, over delicate natural Turquoise gemstone inlaid artwork all around. The wheel really spins around, sending out the mantra Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus
- A dust red bead attached to the wheel at one side
- Metal material: 925 sterling silver
- Comparatively big size of its kind, approx: 32 mm in height (without the hook), with the top cylinder shaped spinningable wheel for the size of 14 X 9 mm (diameter X height)
Prayer wheel - a very sacred object for any Tibetan, who calls it Mani. Prayer wheels spread spiritual blessings and well being. Mani wheels are found all over Tibet and in areas influenced by Tibetan culture. There are many types of Mani wheels, and small handheld wheels are the most common ones by far. Tibetan people carry them around for hours, and even on long pilgrimages, spinning them any time they have a hand free. This is a big version of the prayer wheel you can either wear it as a pendant or as a charm.
The mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum" contains the essence of the entire teaching of Buddhism. When you say the first syllable Om, it is blessed to help you achieve perfection in the practice of generosity, Ma helps perfect the practice of pure ethics, and Ni helps achieve perfection in the practice of tolerance and patience. Pad, the fourth syllable, helps to achieve perfection of perseverance, Me helps achieve perfection in the practice of concentration, and the final sixth syllable Hum helps achieve perfection in the practice of wisdom. So in this way recitation of the mantra helps achieve perfection in the six practices from generosity to wisdom. The path of these six perfection's is the path walked by all the Buddha's of the three times.
