Mani Prayer Wheel in Brass with Turquoise and Jade Stones

This finely crafted handheld prayer wheel is absolutely beautiful. It features intricate filigree designs along with turquoise stone and beautiful red and blue jade stones. The compassion mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum is written on the outside in Sanscrit script.  Inside are scrolls containing mantras and prayers which multiply with each turn.  It can be opened to add your own prayers.
A prayer wheel is a spiritual tool for widely distributing loving, compassionate and kind blessings with your positive wishes for yourself, all those you care for, as well as all [sentient] beings.Just as the wind activates prayer flags with similar blessings and wishes, prayer wheels are activated by turning them clockwise, mostly with one’s own hand.The prayers wheels is ubiquitous in Bhutan. The cylindrical wheel ranges from hand-held to huge powered wheel which are filled with prayers mantras. Monks and devotees spin the well to multiply the number of prayers they expressed by millions. Buddhist also believes that by spinning the well, it helps to concentrate the mind on the mantras and the prayers they are reciting.
