GE Diesel Electric Locomotive Builders Plate. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Up for auction is a GE Diesel Electric Locomotives Builders Plate made of stainless steel.  This plate is from a Dash 8 - 40C locomotive that was built between the years of 1987-1992 with a total of 586 built by GE builder.  These were 6 axle 4000 hp locomotives.
This Builders plate has the serial # 46081 and was built in Nov. 1989 for the CSX Railroad.
Plate measures about 14 1/2” L x 10 1/2” W x .092 thickness and weighs roughly 4 lbs. 1 oz.  Front of plate has paint loss, discoloring, nicks and scratches.  Back of plate shows some corrosion, nicks and scratches.  Back of plate also has an adhesive still attached.
The stamping or etching of numbers, etc. in the data area on the front of plate is light due to wear and discoloring but can be easily seen by the naked eye.  Very had to get a good photograph.
