    The design draws on a single photograph of an unusual tug designed by Robert Allan Ltd of Vancouver for service in the more northern parts of Canada. This vessel is of extremely shallow draught for a tug — only 6ft. 6in. — and is triple-screwed and strengthened for ice There is no suggestion that the drawing is based on the actual design of this vessel (for example, twin screws in nozzles are shown, not very likely for operation among ice-floes) but it does follow the general appearance in many respects
