Minted in solid bronze, plated in nickel, selectively enhanced with gold, and then imbued with rich red enamel on both sides, this chip proof coin is the perfect way to observe the first 365 days of sobriety. The obverse features the "I" year of sobriety on the obverse along with the words "To Thine Own Self Be True," found in Shakespeare's Hamlet (Act 1, scene 3, 78–82), a motto that those endeavoring for sobriety know well. In addition to the three legacies triangle with "Unity Service Recovery". The reverse displays the AA Serenity Prayer: the refrain of AA's sobriety 12-step program. Which read:
"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."
This is a stunning AA Alcoholics Anonymous Medallion Chip. The color is called Mandarin Red and it has a deep glossy almost glass like finish.
